TOPOGRAPHY: This property ranges in elevation from approximately 650 to 660 m above sea level. The highest point is a low ridge along the northern boundary, while the lowest point lies on the southern edge. To the west is old irrigation land, with a small leegte centrally, and open Karoo veld stretching out to the east. The low ridges have some dolerite and limestone while the irrigation lands and leegte have deep and fertile soils.

FARM INFRASTRUCTURE: The property is divided into four camps and three lands. An 11 ha block is enclosed with high kudu fencing and contains the centre pivot along with approximately 3.5 ha of land under drip irrigation. Most of the internal fencing requires maintenance and or reinstatement. The road network provides vehicle access to all camps and lands.

WATER SUPPLY: On a low ridge near the northern boundary there are three boreholes equipped with submersible pumps and powered by municipal electricity. These supply water to the centre pivot and drip irrigation system. An additional, unused borehole is located near the eastern boundary; however, its potential serviceability is uncertain. The numerous livestock watering points, three cement reservoirs, and all associated piping require complete renovation or replacement.

IRRIGATION: A total of approximately 75 ha was previously flood-irrigated under the now defunct Kendrew Irrigation Scheme. More recently, a 5 ha centre pivot was used periodically for lucerne production, but it is not currently operational. The adjacent ± 3.5 ha under with drip irrigation remained in use until very recently (2024) and was planted with onion seed.

VEGETATION: Typical open Karoo veld with dwarf shrubs and grasses interspersed with larger shrubs and trees in the leegte.
Trees species found growing alongside the lands include Mesquite (Prosopis species), Peruvian pepper (Schinus molle), and Tamarisk (Tamarix usneoides) while in the natural veld and leegte in particular Sweet Thorn (Vachellia karroo) is dominant.
Larger shrubs include Spike Thorn (Maytenus heterophylla), Swartstorm (Cadaba aphylla), and Wolwedoring (Lycium oxycarpum). Smaller shrubs include Anchor Karoo Bush (Pentzia incana), Asbos (Psilocaulon mesembryanthemum), Austarlaian Saltbush (Atriplex lindleyi), Bitter Karoo Bush (Chrysocoma ciliate), Brack Salad (Mesembryanthemum crystallinum), Bushman Candle Bush (Monsonia camdeboensis), Creeping Saltbush (Atriplex semibaccata), Doringviooltjie (Aptosimum procumbens), Doringvygie (Ruschia intricata), Drosanthemum archeri, Gombos (Pteronia viscosa), Katdoring (Asparagus retrofractus), Klapperbossie (Blepharis mitrata), Kougoed (sceltium emarcidum), Rooilootganna (Salsola calluna), Tumbleweed (Salsola kali), and Wild Rosemary (Eriocephalus africanus).
Grass species include Bur Bristle Grass (Setaria verticillata), Blue Buffalo Grass (Cenchrus ciliaris), Carrot Seed Grass (Tragus berteronianus), Dew Grass (Eragrostis Obtusa), Guinea Grass (Panicum maximum), Iron Grass (Aristida diffusa), Kalkkweek (Eragrostis bergiana), Lehmann’s Love Grass (Eragrostis lehmanniana), Quick Grass (Cynodon dactylon), Tall Bushman Grass (Stipagrostis ciliata), Thimble Grass (Fingerhuthia Africana), and Weeping Love Grass (Eragrostis curvula).

POWER SUPPLY: Municipal electricity (3-phase)

BUILDINGS: A 120 m2 open-sided lucerne shed with an IBR galvanised roof is located adjacent to the irrigation lands.
