This privately-owned game lodge is developed into something spectacular. The farm is home to a long list of game species listed below. The list of species on the property thrives on the diverse vegetation the property offers, ranging from tree-lined ravines, high-lying areas and open grasslands. Smaller predators that thrive in their natural habitat include black-backed jackal, caracal, bat-eared fox and civet. On the horizon is lions, soon to be introduced to the property.
The farm is located only 18 km from Hartenbos Beach and 16 km from the new upmarket shopping centre “Garden Walk” that is currently in construction. Mossel Bay is 15 minutes’ drive away with the best blue flag beaches, restaurants and numerous activities such as Shark diving, Helicopter rides, Skydiving and fishing
trips. George Airport is a 40-minute drive from the lodge and Cape Town international airport is 380 km away.
The infrastructure is top class and well-planned, including the roads and fences across the farm that are well-kept. A list of species that calls the property home includes impala, springbuck, kudu, eland, bontebok, blue and golden wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra, nyala, hippopotamus, giraffe, cape buffalo, bushbuck, ostriches, grysbok, mountain reedbuck and sable antelope.
The spacious main lodge has one large en-suite bedroom, a very large living, dining and lounge area that walks out to a large north facing deck. A spacious chef’s kitchen ensures all the well-prepared meals, and 2 large areas upstairs serves as an entertainment room and the other an office area.
Additional infrastructure includes two separate self-catering villas (more detail below), 2 X two-bedroom glamping tents (more detail below), 4 X one-bedroom glamping tents (more detail below), 1 X single-bedroom chalet with a living area and kitchen, a garage/shed building that can fit 8 vehicles, a large building that has 3 X double garages and a butcher room with a walk-in cold-room. Staff quarters at the main lodge includes 3 bedrooms that shares a kitchen and bathroom, and a 12 ft container with 2 bedrooms that shares a kitchen and bathroom.
The modern main house on the farm has 4 bedrooms, of which the main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the other 3 rooms shares a bathroom. The house has a large open area kitchen and living/dining area with a braai room and a large north-facing deck. There is also a 2-bedroom staff quarters right next to the main house.
The self-catering villas accommodates a maximum of 4 guests in two rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. There are two of these villas located next to each other with a braai area between the two.
One room has a double Queen Bed with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The other room has two single beds with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The middle room has a small kitchenette, dining area, microwave, and fridge and a lounge suite with inter-leading doors to all rooms and Satellite TV. Each room has ceiling fans, safes, heater, hairdryers. Coffee & Tea, Binoculars, Doom, Towels and toiletries provided. Each Luxury One-Bedroom Tent can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and a bath. The tents have breath-taking Mountain views of this South Cape Game Farm and a private deck.
Each Luxury Two-Bedroom Family Tent can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests in two separate sleeping areas - 1 with Queen size bed and the other with 2 single beds with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and a bath. The kitchenette is fully equipped with microwave, and fridge, a fan, and heater. Coffee & Tea, Towels and toiletries provided. The tents have breath-taking Mountain views of this South Cape Game Farm and a private deck.
Electricity on the farm is supplied by a single-phase 25 kVA Eskom connection with a 12.5 kVA petrol generator as backup.
