The subject farm comprises fourteen contiguous title deeds, strategically situated between Burgersdorp, Venterstad and Bethulie. The subject
property consists of 14 irregularly shaped farm portions totalling approximately 4 751.1806 hectares. This farm is primarily used for livestock farming and is well-regarded for its excellent sheep production. The total area is divided into 34 grazing camps, all of which are suitable and sustainable for lambing.
The topography of the farm varies, featuring flat sections, ridges, and undulating areas. A rocky ridge runs through the centre of the property, providing accessibility from all sides and offering shelter from various weather conditions.
The farms located north of Burgersdorp, Eastern Cape, typically showcase vegetation characteristic of the semi-arid Karoo region. This vegetation effectively supports livestock farming and is particularly favourable for sheep farming.
Burgersdorp experiences a semi-arid climate, with average annual rainfall ranging from 400 to 600 millimetres, most of which occurs during the summer months, especially from November to March. The subject farm is well-equipped with water sources, including 16 boreholes, 9 large earth dams, and various concrete dams. Additionally, concrete water troughs have been installed in some of the camps to facilitate water access for livestock.
Grazing camps on the farm was always understocked and well managed to ensure sustainable farming for the next generation. Currently, the 6th generation of the De Klerk family is on the farm.
The farms offers an estimated total of 82-hectares of dryland cropping used to produce additional feed for winter months. A portion of the dryland was planted during the past two seasons
